Maybe you're dreaming of restoring that rundown craftsman up the street to its former glory, you know, the one that the neighbours affectionately refer to as "The Crackhouse", but don't know where to start.
To get the project off the ground the Vancouver Heritage Foundation has got your covered. First off, here are some tips from the foundation via BCliving.com.
Secondly, the foundation's one day warehouse salvage sale is fast approaching on Saturday May 14th, from 10 am – 4 pm at 7011 Elmbridge Way (at Gilbert) in Richmond (unit 115).
Doors, sinks, lumber, hardware, furniture, lights, flooring, and mouldings, which have all been donated by local homeowners and builders, will be available at what the foundation says are bargain prices. Anyone who makes a purchase also receives a 15% discount card for Rona valid that weekend.
The foundation is still looking for donations of 1860s-1960s furniture, mirrors or lights. Give them a shout at 604-264-9642 or send photos to elana@vancouverheritagefoundation.org
