Back in the early 1900's Captain George Vancouver named this area after his sailing buddy Captain George Grey. Today, West Point Grey is home to both the Vancouver Yacht Club and the Jericho Sailing Association - proving that those intrepid explorers were on to something.  What they probably couldn't have predicted was that this West Side locale would become the most expensive neighbourhood in Vancouver per square foot. So, if a multi-million dollar home near the beach floats your boat - explore no further.
